GTA 6 Collector's Edition: Price, Contents and Release Date

There is no collector's edition of GTA 6 itself. What Rockstar sells as its collector's item is The Goodtime State, Vice City Collection: a $399.99 box of merchandise on the Rockstar Store that arrives on November 19, 2026, with a note that the game is sold separately. To play, you still buy the Standard Edition ($79.99) or the Ultimate Edition ($99.99), both digital, or the Standard Edition as a code in a box.

What's in the box

Rockstar calls it "a premium Collector's Box featuring all the essentials for a good time, inspired by Leonida's hit TV show, Macca the Gator". The Rockstar Store lists 11 items:

Item	What it is
Macca the Gator figure	The show's gator mascot, with a twist-open base to stash things in
Oakley Frogskins sunglasses	Matte black, Prizm Sapphire lenses, a pink GTAVI logo
Leonida Keys crossbody bag	Ripstop, with woven patches
New Era 9FORTY snapback hat	Vice City Leonida embroidery
Macca the Gator magnetic mirror	Pink glass, works as a tray or wall art
Chunkee the Manatee shot glass	Rockstar logo etched on the bottom
Vice City swizzle spoon	Enamel Vice City logo
Vice City razor blade keychain	Embossed GTAVI and Vice City logos
Leonida Keys enamel pin set	Nine pins in a tin
Leonida Keys sticker pack	Nine vinyl stickers in a stash bag
Double-sided souvenir poster	Macca the Gator characters on the front, a full map of Leonida on the back

The box measures 19 by 13.5 by 12.5 inches, and Rockstar labels it adult collectibles for ages 18 and up. Macca the Gator also shows up inside the game: the Ultimate Edition's Goodtime Gear is a capsule collection of in-game clothes inspired by the same character (Rockstar's announcement, via TheSixthAxis).

Price, release date and where to buy

• Price: $399.99 in the US. TechRadar and GAMINGbible report £349.99 in the UK. The store says it is not eligible for free shipping.
• Release: November 19, 2026, the same day as the game (IGN, CNET). Pre-orders opened on September 24.
• Where: the Rockstar Store only, according to TechRadar and CNET. No Best Buy, GameStop or Amazon listing has been reported.
• Stock: Rockstar sells it "while supplies last" and hasn't said how many exist. The store's FAQ covers purchase limits and the countries it ships to, so check it before you order.

Is there a PS5 or Xbox version?

No. The box is the same whatever you play on, and it has no game or download code in it. If you want something tied to your console, PlayStation sells two limited-edition GTA VI DualSense controllers, one black and one white, from November 19 at $84.99 (PlayStation Blog).

How it compares with Rockstar's last collector's editions

GTA 5 Collector's Edition	Red Dead Redemption 2 Collector's Box	GTA 6, The Goodtime State
Year	2013	2018	2026
Price at launch	$149.99	$99.99	$399.99
In 2026 dollars	About $214.58	About $132.45	$399.99
Game included	Yes	No	No
Map	A blueprint map of Los Santos and Blaine County	A map made of tear-resistant paper	A Leonida map on the back of the poster

GTA 5: PlayStation Blog. Red Dead Redemption 2: Engadget. In 2026 dollars is our own sum with the US consumer price index (BLS): the launch price times the index for August 2026 (334.980), divided by the index for the launch month (234.149 for September 2013, 252.885 for October 2018).

Our take: The Goodtime State is a merchandise box priced like a luxury item, and only collectors should buy it. Even after inflation it costs almost twice GTA 5's Collector's Edition, which came with the game, and three times Red Dead Redemption 2's box, which didn't. Reviews split on value: IGN called the items "of high quality", mostly thanks to the Oakleys, while Polygon called it pure profit for Rockstar. The one item that tells you something about the game is the poster's map of Leonida, Rockstar's own full view of the state. Our advice: buy the edition of the game you want first, then decide if you want the box. If you do, order from the Rockstar Store rather than a reseller: GameSpot found eBay listings on the day it was announced.
