GTA 6 data for journalists

Every dataset below is free to reuse under CC BY 4.0: cite gta6cheatsheet.com and link the page. Each one has a chart you can embed, CSV and JSON downloads, its method and a source for every number.

Why we publish this data, and how to use it well

Our take: much GTA 6 coverage repeats the same few facts, so we built datasets that count things we couldn't find counted elsewhere: what the game costs in hours of work around the world, which rumors came true, how the release date moved, and which parts of Leonida match real Florida. We think these are the most useful things on the site for a reporter, because each one is sourced line by line and can be checked. Two cautions from us. Every dataset is dated, and several will change on November 19, when launch settles rumors and puts real places on the map; quote the "last checked" date with any number. And the Leonida vs Florida study marks single-outlet matches separately: please keep that label if you use one, rather than turning "one outlet says" into "is".

Story angles we think each dataset supports

Dataset The question it answers A story it supports
Affordability Index How many hours of minimum-wage work buy GTA 6 in each country Why the same price lands very differently in Brazil, Mexico and the US
Rumor Report Which GTA 6 rumors came true, and what settled each one How fan theories and "insider" claims fared against Rockstar's own reveals
Timeline Every dated announcement since the first word, and every promised date How the release date moved, and how long the wait really was
Leonida vs Florida Which real places each part of Leonida is based on How faithfully Rockstar copied Miami, and what it left out

Our suggestions; each page has the method and every source behind its numbers.
