No delay has been announced, and every recent primary source points to November 19, 2026. Take-Two confirmed in August that the date is on track, and Rockstar has set the pre-load for November 12.
"Debunked" means the delay talk is contradicted by Rockstar and Take-Two as of October 6, six weeks before launch. Nobody can rule out a future announcement, but the signs all point one way: pre-orders, a pre-load date, boxed copies with a ship date, and a store release time.
Both earlier delays were announced months ahead of the target: in May 2025 for the fall 2025 window, and in November 2025 for May 2026. Mike York's comment is the most quoted "delay" source, and he said himself it wasn't based on inside knowledge. We will update this entry the same day if anything changes.
