No. PlayStation's own page says GTA 6 'is only playable on PS5 and is not available for PS4'. You need a PS5 or PS5 Pro, or an Xbox Series X|S.
Any "GTA 6 PS4 download", PS4 disc or PS4 release date you see online is fake. The PlayStation Store marks the game as a PS5 title with a "PS5 Pro Enhanced" label, though Rockstar has not explained what the Pro version adds.
If you are upgrading for GTA 6, the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions launch on the same day, November 19, 2026. The boxed PS5 version contains a download code rather than a disc, so check that your console has room for the download.
