GTA 6 News Today (October 9, 2026): Cardi B Joins the Album

The short answer

Cardi B and Fuerza Regida release new songs from GTA VI: The Album, and Nintendo of America's president says GTA 6 on Switch 2 is for Take-Two to answer.

Two more songs from Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album came out overnight: Cardi B's "Don't Chart" and Fuerza Regida's "Suzuki". Rockstar's GTA VI music page now lists eight singles from the 34-track album. Nintendo of America's president also said GTA 6 on Switch 2 is a question for Take-Two and Rockstar. Nothing changed on dates or prices: GTA 6 still launches November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with preloading from November 12.

Cardi B and Fuerza Regida join GTA VI: The Album

Rockstar's music page now lists "Don't Chart" by Cardi B and "Suzuki" by Fuerza Regida next to the six singles released on September 17. That makes eight of the album's 34 tracks; the other 26 are still unnamed.

Billboard reports that Cardi B revealed her song on Thursday night, October 8, and that she had hinted at it earlier by posting a cropped "Baddie" hoodie like the one Lucia wears in the trailer. NME calls "Don't Chart" "a swaggering, playful rap track" and "Suzuki" "a groovy trap-infused folk ballad". Complex notes that Fuerza Regida is touring at the moment. As with the first six, Rockstar has not said where either song plays in the game. Both are on our radio stations list, and "Don't Chart" has its own page.

Nintendo on GTA 6 for Switch 2

Asked by Variety whether GTA 6 is coming to Switch 2, Nintendo of America president Devon Pritchard said: "That's going to be a conversation for Take Two and Rockstar, but nothing to announce on my end at this time." Kotaku points out that Switch 2 is the only current console not getting the game this fall. Rockstar Support still lists only PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Our Switch 2 entry stays at Unknown: no one has ruled a later port in or out.

Australia's workplace regulator on taking launch day off

Australia's Fair Work Ombudsman posted a GTA 6 themed graphic on Instagram about unpaid leave for launch day, IGN and TheGamer report. Its message: the National Employment Standards give unpaid leave only in specific cases, such as caring for someone or community service, so for a game the realistic route is asking your employer for the day.

What it means for players

Our take: two album singles the night after Rockstar named its first six radio stations shows that the music push has a steady rhythm now, and we expect more songs and stations before November 19. What we still cannot tell you is how the album and the radio fit together: Rockstar has not said whether "Don't Chart", "Suzuki" or any of the first six singles play on a station, in a mission or only on the album. On Switch 2, Pritchard's answer is a polite non-answer and does not change anything. If you only own a Switch 2, plan on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S for launch, because no other version is announced.

Not confirmed

  • The rest of the album. 26 of its 34 tracks are still unnamed.
  • Where the album songs play. Rockstar has not tied any single to a station or a mission.
  • A Switch 2 or PC version. Neither is announced.
  • Who plays Jason and Lucia. Rockstar still has not named its lead actors.
  • A new trailer or TV ad. Rockstar has not announced either.
