GTA 6 News Today (October 22, 2026): First TV Ad
The short answer
GTA 6's first TV ad, a cut of the Launch Trailer, aired during NBA games and shows only PS5. Burger Shot opens in Miami's arena. No date or price change.

GTA 6's first TV ad aired during NBA games on October 20, and it is a shorter cut of last week's Launch Trailer that trims a few scenes and shows only the PlayStation logo, Kotaku and IGN report. Inside Miami's Kaseya Center, the in-game fast food chains Burger Shot and Cluckin' Bell now serve real food at Heat games (IGN, GameSpot, VGC). Nothing changed on dates or prices: GTA 6 still launches November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with preloading from November 12.
GTA 6's first TV ad is a cut of the Launch Trailer
The ad ran during the NBA's opening night on October 20, Kotaku reports, with viewers spotting it in the Knicks vs 76ers game and others reporting it in two more games that night; IGN says it was seen on NBC Sports. Both outlets compared recordings that fans posted with the October 15 Launch Trailer and found the same footage, minus a few scenes cut for TV, with a couple of shots, such as the plane sequence, running a little longer instead. Neither outlet saw anything new about the story or how the game plays.
For Xbox owners, the detail to know is the end card. IGN and TheGamer both say the TV spot shows only the PlayStation logo and never mentions Xbox, as in the Launch Trailer itself. That is marketing, not a platform change: Rockstar's support page still lists GTA 6 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, and your Xbox pre-order is unaffected. Our PS5 and Xbox page has what each console gets.
Rockstar has not posted the TV version on its own channels, so it does not count as a new trailer on our list.

Burger Shot and Cluckin' Bell open in the Heat's arena
Burger Shot and Cluckin' Bell, the GTA series' parodies of burger and fried chicken chains, have opened as food stands inside the Kaseya Center, the Miami Heat's arena, IGN, GameSpot and VGC report from fan photos taken at games this week. GameSpot and VGC say the Burger Shot counter is the arena's existing Skinny Louie's burger stand in new branding, with staff in Burger Shot shirts and hats, so the food itself is not from the game's menu. Posters for Macca & Friends, a show from the game, have gone up in the arena too (IGN, GameSpot).
It is the second Rockstar tie-in at the Kaseya Center after the "Welcome to Vice City" roof sign, and the arena hosts the Heat's "A Night in Vice City" game on November 18. Neither Rockstar nor the arena has announced the stands, and GameSpot says they appear to be limited to the Kaseya Center for now.

What it means for players
Our take: a TV ad four weeks out is the clearest sign yet that Rockstar's launch plan is locked. National TV slots like NBA opening night are usually booked well ahead, and a publisher would hardly pay for one to push a game that might slip, so we read November 19 as safer today than it was yesterday. The ad itself adds nothing new, so skip hunting for clips; the Launch Trailer on Rockstar's channel is the better version. If you play on Xbox, ignore the PlayStation-only end card: Sony has the marketing deal, and the game is still coming to Series X|S on the same day. The Kaseya Center food is a fun stop if you already have Heat tickets, but there is nothing on the menu you can't get at the same stand without the wrapper, so don't buy a ticket just for a Burger Shot box.
Not confirmed
- What the arena food costs. GameSpot quotes combo prices from fans at the game; no second outlet has, so we are not listing them.

- Beach chairs and umbrellas in place. VGC now says Vice City umbrellas and loungers are out on Miami Beach, from fan photos; no local news outlet has reported them yet.
- The Miami-Dade vote. Commissioners were due to revisit the airport, port and transit deal on October 20 (Fortune, The Miamian). We still find no report of the outcome.
