Where to see it
The VICE letters are GTA 6's answer to a city sign. In Trailer 1 (0:40) huge white letters spelling VICE stand on a steel frame against a red sunset. Rockstar's first Vice City screenshot, "Vice City 01", shows the same landmark lit up at dusk with a jet passing low overhead. Both are linked above so you can check them.
GTA BOOM's location guide places the sign at Vice City International Airport, beside a runway and radar tower, which fits the low jet in Rockstar's screenshot. Rockstar has not said where it stands, so treat the airport as a strong reading rather than a fact.
Why it works as a landmark
Every GTA city needs a skyline shot you recognise in a second. GTA BOOM compares the VICE letters to the Vinewood sign in Los Santos, and that is how they function in Rockstar's marketing: the first screenshot of Vice City is the sign, not a street.
The sign went real
Rockstar has since put a version of it on the real Miami skyline. In September 2026, CBS News Miami filmed crews installing large pink letters spelling "Welcome to Vice City" on the roof of the Kaseya Center, home of the Miami Heat, and noted it can be seen by travellers flying into Miami International Airport. It is a neat echo of the in-game sign, which also seems to greet people arriving by air.
| Version | Where | Source |
|---|---|---|
| VICE letters on a steel frame | Trailer 1, 0:40 | Rockstar |
| Lit at dusk, jet overhead | Screenshot "Vice City 01" | Rockstar |
| Likely by the airport runway | In-game | GTA BOOM |
| "Welcome to Vice City" in pink letters | Kaseya Center roof, Miami | CBS News Miami |
Our take: the VICE letters will be one of the first places players drive to, because Rockstar has used them as Vice City's calling card from the very first trailer. If GTA BOOM is right about the airport, getting close may mean getting past airport security, and Rockstar hasn't said how restricted its airport is. Our tip is to photograph it from a distance at sunset first; that is the angle Rockstar chose twice.
What to watch for at launch
- Whether the sign is inside the airport fence or reachable freely.
- Whether it lights up at night, as in Rockstar's screenshot.
- Whether you can climb it.
