Weazel News, the series' TV news channel, runs two live helicopter reports in Trailer 1: "NO (OVER) TURNING ZONE!" over a wrecked intersection, and "DIRT-BIKE DIRT-BAGS" over bikers swarming a junction.
Where to pause
Weazel News, the TV news brand that has run through GTA's modern games, gets two live helicopter reports in Trailer 1:
| Timestamp | Headline | What's on screen |
|---|---|---|
| 1:04 | "NO (OVER) TURNING ZONE!" | A wrecked intersection from above |
| 1:07 | "DIRT-BIKE DIRT-BAGS" | Bikers swarming a junction |

What they parody
The jokes work because they look like real local TV. Helicopter shots of a pile-up and of bikers taking over a junction are a staple of Miami news, and Miami New Times' breakdown of Trailer 1 found the whole video stitched from South Florida headlines, from gators in pools to a woman dancing on a moving car on the MacArthur Causeway. "NO (OVER) TURNING ZONE!" plays on a "no turning" traffic sign, with an overturned car as the punchline; "DIRT-BIKE DIRT-BAGS" is a tabloid insult turned into a chyron.
Where Weazel fits in GTA 6
TV is busier in GTA 6 than in any earlier game, IGN reports from its preview: there are more radio and TV ads than in any prior GTA, including one for the depression drug "Angstipan" and a fast-food sandwich with 30,000 calories. IGN also spotted Megamundo, a parody of the Spanish-language network Telemundo, in An Extended Look, so Weazel is not the only channel in Leonida.
Our take: Weazel News is where GTA 6's satire will live day to day, and these two headlines set the tone: punchy, local and a little mean. We'd expect the channel to react to big things you do, since the trailer frames ordinary chaos as breaking news, though Rockstar hasn't confirmed that. For players, the useful habit is to leave a TV on in the safehouse now and then; with more ads and shows than any GTA before, it is where a lot of the game's jokes and world-building will be hiding.
