Confirmed

Boobie Ike and Dre'Quan Priest's record label, which has signed the rap duo Real Dimez. Rockstar says Boobie's empire also takes in real estate and a recording studio.

What Rockstar says

Only Raw Records is the Vice City label that ties three of Rockstar's eight profiled characters together. Rockstar's bios lay it out:

  • Boobie Ike is "a local Vice City legend" who turned his time in the streets into an empire of real estate, a club and a recording studio. His partnership with Dre'Quan on Only Raw Records is the part he is "most invested in, now they just need a hit".
  • Dre'Quan Priest was "always more of a hustler than a gangster", with breaking into music as the goal. He has signed the Real Dimez and is setting his sights on the Vice City scene.
  • Real Dimez, Bae-Luxe and Roxy, had an early hit with local rapper DWNPLY. Five years and "a whole lot of trouble" later, they are signed to Only Raw, "hoping lightning can strike twice".

Boobie's own line explains how the money flows: "The club money pay for the studio, and the drug money pay for it all."

What the previews add

In An Extended Look, Jason and Lucia pick up drugs for Boobie, which IGN reads as a sign he gives missions. IGN also spotted gang members wearing "S4S" chains and a Sound4Sound shirt, which it takes to be another Vice City record label. If that is right, Only Raw has competition.

How GTA has told music stories before

Rockstar has built crime stories around the music business before. In GTA Online's The Contract (2021), Franklin Clinton's "celebrity solutions" agency had to recover a phone full of Dr. Dre's unreleased music, with players chasing down the missing tracks across Los Santos (Take-Two's announcement). GTA 6 moves that idea into the main story, with a label that needs a hit rather than a star who lost one.

Our take: Only Raw Records is where GTA 6's crime and its soundtrack meet, and we expect it to drive a strand of missions about making Real Dimez famous again, with the drug money Boobie mentions paying for it. "Now they just need a hit" reads like a mission brief. For players, the label is worth following for two reasons: Boobie looks like an early quest giver, and a rival label (if Sound4Sound is one) suggests turf fights over the music scene. Whether a Real Dimez track ends up on an in-game radio station is a fair question nobody can answer yet.

What to watch for at launch

  • Whether Only Raw has a studio you can visit.
  • Whether Real Dimez songs play on Leonida's radio.
  • Who runs Sound4Sound, and whether it is a rival to Only Raw.
