The Ultimate Edition's garage in Watson Bay, home of the '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy, with a weapon locker and a drop for stolen goods.

What Rockstar says

Paradise Garage comes with the Ultimate Edition as the home of the '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy. The PlayStation Store copy says you can "conveniently store it at the Paradise Garage in Watson Bay, which features a weapon locker plus a secure place to deposit stolen goods to be fenced". Rockstar Support lists it as the "'67 Vapid Dominator Buggy and Garage". Rockstar has not said where Watson Bay is, so our map pin is a placeholder.

How garages work in GTA 6

The most useful line about garages is in Rockstar's press release for the pre-order garage, as TheSixthAxis printed it: "Like all personal garages in Leonida, you'll have a weapon locker to customize your loadout for any occasion plus a secure place to deposit stolen goods for the local Fence, who will accept most stolen goods at a reasonably discounted rate." Two things follow from that. Garages are a system, not a one-off, and every garage is part of the money loop.

Garage feature What we know
Weapon locker Every personal garage has one (press release)
Stash for stolen goods Goods go to a fence at a discount (press release)
Fences Exist for jewellery and for cars (IGN preview)
Damaged stolen cars Worth less at the fence (IGN preview)
Buying more garages Not stated

Compared with Vice City

In GTA Vice City, safehouses were where you saved and stored vehicles, and some had garages for cars (GTABase). GTA 6 splits that role: the shared safehouse is home, and garages are where you load up weapons and drop off loot.

Our take: the Dominator Buggy is the headline, but the garage is the useful part. A second spot with a weapon locker and a stash drop means less driving back across the map after a robbery, so its value depends on where Watson Bay turns out to be. Since the pre-order garage sits by Ocean Beach in Vice City, a garage somewhere else would spread your bases out nicely. "All personal garages" also hints that you can get more garages in the normal game, which would make this one a head start rather than a must-have. That is our reading of Rockstar's wording.

What to watch for at launch

  • Where Watson Bay is.
  • Whether the stash pays the same as a fence in person.
  • Whether Standard players can buy or earn other garages.
