Off the Grid

"Off the Grid" by !!! (pronounced Chk Chk Chk), featuring singer Meah Pace, plays over driving footage in An Extended Look, straight after Jason's talk with Brian ends. By Game Rant's timestamps it starts at 12:25 and runs for about 45 seconds.

The song

!!! is a dance-punk band signed to Warp Records. "Off the Grid" came out in 2019, first as a single alongside "UR Paranoid" and then on the album Wallop, where it is credited as featuring Meah Pace (Warp; Under the Radar). It is a driving dance track built around a repeated call of its title.

Why it fits

The scene cuts from conversation to the open road, and the song switches the mood from talk to motion. The title also fits Jason. Rockstar's profile has him living in the Leonida Keys, rent-free at one of Brian's properties, working for local drug runners: a life lived about as far off the grid as the game gets.

Our take: "Off the Grid" is the indie-dance pick in the Extended Look, and with "Mine O' Mine" and "Inner Light" it makes three dance tracks out of 14. That suggests club and dance music will have a real presence on GTA 6's radio, not just rap and 80s pop. The band is also a cult act rather than a household name, which fits the deep-cut pattern across Rockstar's choices. We cannot say which station, if any, carries the song until the game is out, and we will add that here.
