Mine O' Mine

"Mine O' Mine" by Aluna and Jayda G plays in a hallway at Megamundo in An Extended Look, as Jason steps out of the lift and walks toward a conference room to meet Andres de Leon. By Game Rant's timestamps it starts at 21:55, overlapping the end of Phil Collins' "Against All Odds", and runs for about 58 seconds.

The song

Dance music artists Aluna and Jayda G released "Mine O' Mine" on Mad Decent in April 2022. Aluna said the two started from nothing and built the production, melody and lyrics in the moment, out of their feelings about getting through 2021 and looking ahead (Dancing Astronaut). It is warm, upbeat house music. Mixmag picked out Jayda G's song when it listed the Extended Look's music.

Why it fits

Megamundo is throwing a party, and the walk to a high-stakes meeting is scored like the corridor of a club: bright, polished and a little too relaxed for what is about to happen. The handover from a Phil Collins ballad to a house track is one of the neatest edits in the video.

Our take: with "Off the Grid" and "Inner Light", this makes three dance tracks among the 14 songs, and Rockstar later put Fred again.. and Etienne de Crecy on its album single "Sexy Magic". We expect house and dance music to have a home in GTA 6, on the radio or in Vice City's clubs, including the club Boobie Ike owns in Rockstar's profile. That is our reading of the music shown so far, not something Rockstar has announced. We will add where the song plays in the released game.
