Play a round of mini golf. Rockstar named it as an activity, and one of its screenshots shows Cal Hampton at an alligator-themed course.

What we know
Mini golf is on Rockstar's list of GTA 6 side activities (IGN, VICE), and IGN saw it during Rob Nelson's demo at Rockstar North. Dexerto had already picked out mini golf among the activities glimpsed in Trailer 2. The best look so far is a Rockstar screenshot, "Cal Hampton 01", which puts Cal Hampton, Jason's conspiracy-minded friend, on an alligator-themed course.
The gator theme is very Florida. Kotaku notes that Rockstar's marketing includes a large alligator-themed park that seems inspired by Gatorland, the long-running gator park south of Orlando; the mini golf course may or may not be part of it.
Who you might play with
The screenshot raises a fun possibility. Cal is a supporting character, not a protagonist, so a round of mini golf with him suggests activities can be shared with friends as well as with your partner. Rockstar has not confirmed that. What is confirmed is that some GTA 6 activities work as dates for Jason and Lucia (VICE), and that time spent together outside missions builds their relationship (IGN preview).
Compared with GTA 5
GTA 5 had full-size golf: golfing was one of the activities in its first gameplay video in 2013 (CBS News). GTA 6's named activity is mini golf instead, on a course themed around Leonida's favourite reptile, which fits the state's tourist-strip tone. Rockstar has not said whether a full golf course exists as well.
Our take: mini golf is a date and hangout activity first, and we'd play a round with Lucia or Jason early to see how much it moves the relationship. The Cal Hampton screenshot is the most interesting clue, because it hints that friends can join activities, which would give Cal, a fan-favourite oddball from Rockstar's bios, more screen time outside missions. Treat that as our reading of one screenshot. Expect the course design to be packed with gator jokes; Leonida's whole tourist economy seems to run on them.
What to watch for at launch
- Whether characters other than Jason and Lucia can play with you.
- How many mini golf courses there are, and where.
- Whether a full-size golf course exists as well.
