Let Your Love Flow

"Let Your Love Flow" by The Bellamy Brothers plays as An Extended Look cuts from Lucia dropping to street level to Jason stealing a car. By Game Rant's timestamps it starts at 6:00 and runs for about 42 seconds.

The song

It was the Bellamy Brothers' debut single, released in January 1976 and written by Larry E. Williams, who was working as a roadie for Neil Diamond's band at the time. It reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in May 1976 and topped the charts in Germany and Switzerland too (Billboard, Guitar Player).

A Florida song for a Florida game

David and Howard Bellamy are Pasco County natives, from the small town of Darby north of Tampa, and Florida named them to its Artists Hall of Fame (Florida Division of Arts and Culture). The Tampa Bay Times described them as ranchers who continue to call rural eastern Pasco home. Of everything in the Extended Look, this is the song with the deepest Florida roots.

Our take: a gentle, sunny love song laid over a car theft is classic Rockstar. The contrast makes the crime feel casual, the way it does for Jason, who grew up around grifters. It also hints at a radio mix that goes well beyond rock and rap, toward 70s soft rock and country pop, the kind of music you would hear across Leonida's small towns and highways rather than in Vice City's clubs. That station label is our reading, not something Rockstar has said. Once the game is out we will note where the song plays and whether the car radio carries it.
